Show Event Data on Single Posts with Pie Calendar Info [piecal-info]
If you want to show an event's information like date and time on the single post view, you can use either the [piecal-info] shortcode, or the "Pie Calendar Event Info Block."
You can use multiple instances of the shortcode / block on your page for full customization.
The Event Info Shortcode / Block Options
When using the block controls, the UI helps guide you through the options.
If using the [piecal-info] shortcode, you must add the parameters you want to the shortcode. These options are:
format: By default, the format output by the shortcode will match your WordPress site’s default date & time format. If you want to change it, you can output a specific format in this parameter.
For a full list of available date formatting characters, see the PHP DateTimeInterface Format documentation.
Note that any non-format characters (e.g. letters you want to display as letters instead of converting to day/date/time, etc...) must be escaped with double backslashes.
The example below would output something like "2026-01-29 around 17:00:00":
[piecal-info format="Ymd \\a\\r\\o\\u\\n\\d H:i:s" fragments="all"]
fragments: This allows you to determine which portions of the info shortcode are shown, acceptable values are: start , end , timezone , all , allday . Pro users can also use the atc fragment to show the Add To Calendar links on individual posts or omit this fragment to hide the links.
[piecal-info fragments="all"] or [piecal-info fragments="start, timezone"]
